Vu 40D6575 102 cm (40) LED TV

Friend, You will find what is missing only when you do side by side comparison. Its very negligible and 19 k is not a price to nitpick such issues when other Tv are costing nearly @ double the price.

No idea how reliable it is. Even products of big brands fail prematurely.

If 8ms is not good, then what is good then ? This is a TV and not a Gaming monitor and hope you will keep that in mind.

So, where did you come up with this junk info regarding refresh rate ?
This is not junk info like ur reply.
This is the real and practical info and the info u see on vu site is junk. They say it is ripple free panel but it creates ripples just by gentle touch.

Oh, now I get it, You assumed the Panel to Run at 40 HZ and claim that as real and practical info.:clapping: I though you had some real good backing info.

I am not contesting about the data given in Vu Site. I have always advise people to take those specs with a pinch of salt. If you have read my review on the VU Tvs.

So get your facts straight and do not mislead people. You are in a country where the Power supply is at 50 Hz and assuming the panel to Run @ 40 Hz show it.

First of all stop ur childish reasoning and finding faults on others. I am not here to start a debate with you rechecking every word we speak, analize them and draw conclusions.
I am not an engineer or any technical person to speak how can a 60hz tv work on 40 hz.
I said what I felt to my eyes. There is a refresh rate issue with tv.
If u have this model with u you let me know your thoughts about tv.

Have you connected the TV to your logitech using headphone jack? If yes, is there a hissing sound that you have observed?
No there is no noticeable hissing sound but there is a boom sound when changing track , pausing and resuming video and when muted.

I was asking for your source info and what I find here is that you are shooting of your mouth and . You sir being grown up should act like a grown up and should have put forward the problems you are facing in a more mature way rather than this below where you are implying in a definitive manner , which is totally misleading.

It has very low refresh rate may be around 40hz so even 60fps game feels like 20fps. For gaming it's waste

I am not misleading anyone. This guy has made a video exactly what I am thinking about refresh rate. Here is the link
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dsbfvz9w5Fc

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5KfZFuea72Q

This was exactly what I was asking for, Your source. This guy in the video is so confused between response time and refresh rate. The ghosting or image trailing is due to poor response time of the pixels and NOT due to refresh rate of the panel.

I am extremely sorry mate. Yes it is my mistake. I thought response time is the lag between the input and output of display. I am extremely sorry if I hurt you.

Mate, Chill please. I really appreciate you coming forward and am equally sorry if I had hurt you too.

To clarify your doubt and for sake of others who want to buy this TV,
A full cycle response time is like time taken for a non energized crystal which is black to get turned on to white and then again off to become black.

That is called black to black response time. Some manufacturers specify Gray to Gray response time which will have lower values than Black to Black. No body specifies anything clearly in the spec sheet.

The lag between Input and output is called as Input lag, which is again very important for gaming.

If Indeed the TV was like running at 40 Hz refresh rate like that guys says, then in that video, you would have seen frame skipping - Like video getting stuck because console outputs video 60 frames per second and Tv will show only 40 frames of that 60 sent by console.

Hope this is clear now friend.:)

Thanks for explaining in detail. [emoji4] [emoji106]

Picked up for my wife's place during Oct Sale for Rs18,240/-.
Use is for SD Viewing only. I was surprised to see the PQ. PQ is sharper. I feel it is worth the money paid.
Maybe it is Backlit or Tata Sky. Even in SD thru a Composite Cable, at a distance of 8ft, it was sheer pleasure.

See Pictures here taken from a Mobile during day light. So please excuse.

Hi guys,

I wanted to buy a 40 inch TV and have shortlisted couple of models of VU Tv,
1.Vu 40D6575 102 cm (40) LED TV
2.Vu 40K16 102 cm (40) LED TV

The prices on flipkart are almost same and the only noticeable difference is that 40K16 has 3 HDMI ports and 40D6575 has 2 ports.
Also 40D6575 is backlit LED and 40K16 is Edgelit.

40D6575 is a new model recently launched.

Could any one please advice which one to go for, backlit is better or edgelit?

Thanks.

Hi Rushabh,

I have bought vu 40D6575 model through flipkart and its display clarity is fair enough to enjoy watching 1080P full hd movies.

I dont know about the difference in the technology and since 40K16 is discontinued( not found in vu website), it is better to go for 40D6575 model.

But remember it is having lipsync issue while playing movies through pendrive.

I'm planning to buy this television. Can someone clarify the below:

1. How does it fare on movies? I hate the so called "soap opera effect" or the feature usually referred as "motion interpolation". Does this TV has an option to turn it off (or does it even have this feature?)
2. Is there anyone who bought it from B&M stores? Where can i find one in Chennai?
3. Does the VESA/TV mount have any options of tilting vertically and horizontally?

History of the 4:3 Aspect Ratio

The 4:3 aspect ratio has been around since the early days of television in the 1940's and 1950's. A television that has an aspect ratio of 4:3 is often referred to as being NTSC, or pan and scan. The majority of analog cable channels still broadcast in 4:3.

History of the 16:9 Aspect Ratio

The 16:9 aspect ratio is a product of movie producers. They wanted to find a way to make their movies bigger and better in order to attract more customers. The widescreen format of the 16:9 aspect ratio allows users to view a bigger picture when compared to the 4:3 aspect ratio. The 16:9 aspect ratio also enhances the quality of the image by allowing for bolder backdrops and scenery. The 16:9 aspect ratio is not as wide as what you would see in a cinema, but it is close.

Difference in Television Watching

Both the 4:3 aspect ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio remain popular today. A 4:3 aspect ratio will produce a more box-like picture, because the screen is only slightly wider than it is high. A 16:9 aspect ratio will produce a widescreen, or letterbox, picture. If you are watching only analog cable, a 4:3 aspect ratio is for you. Being that 16:9 is the standard aspect ratio of HD televisions, you will need a television that is compatible with the 16:9 aspect ratio in order to benefit from the high definition picture.

When it all comes down to it, aspect ratio is really a personal preference. Some people do not like that newer movies have to be cropped to fit within a 4:3 screen, while others may not like the black bars that come with a 16:9 widescreen television.

It doesn't answer the question askd ..
D6575 model is specified 4:3 aspect ratio in spec .. Other models show 16:9.. Does this have any issue .. As the screen is 1920x1080p with is 16:9 std. Why hav they mentioned 4:3 then in spec

Its mentioned cause it lets you switch to 4:3 mode if you want to, so that you can watch the program in its original dimension if you wish so.

Yes, it's a good choice. I have been using it to watch downloaded full HD movies since last October. I won't say it's at per with Samsung/Sony/LG but as per price to performance ratio it's gives me awesome value.
