Wall Mount Vs speaker stand

Hello dear all,

I have recently purchased/ordered a 5.1 HTIB speaker system.:cheersyet to receive them).

Kindly advise which will be better installation

wall mount

or

on speaker stands and why? (plz explain technically )

What i want to know is, which installation will provide better sound and why?

I sit against the back wall then what should be the direction of rear speakers towards my ears or towards the room.

You have to provide more information about system you are planning to install. Installation preference depends on many factors: ported or non ported speakers, front or rear ported, dispersion quality etc.

The speakers are Yamaha NS-P285 , the specifications are here at link NS-P285 - Speaker Packages - Yamaha - Asia / Middle East / Oceania / Latin America, kindly advise

These speakers can be wall mounted without any loss of quality. That will be the better mounting option as front and center speakers can be installed at ear level and can be angled slightly towards the listening position. The surround speaker placement depends on whether you have side walls to work with or Not ?

Thanks, there are no side walls, i mean there are side walls but are very far away.
