Want Advise on Projector (on budget)

I am Planning to buy a projector in the next two weeks before I start my false ceiling work . I will use the projector sparingly mmostly to watch Tennis and cricket and a movie here or there.

As you see I am going to use it for very specific reason I am not looking at any thing very high end (am strictly on Budeget)

Can somebody help me with best option when I am on a 35k to 45K budget.

The projector will be in the living room displaying images from a POP wall

I desire a projection of about 75 to 80 inches diagonal)

I ahve 720p Videos /movies that I would be playing mostly during might time so no issue with Light there but with sports it could be during day time as well

really appreciate your help asap as I need to buty it immediately and get the accessories installed before i start with my false ceiling work.

Selecting a projector will take some time as you will get plenty of opinions and advises on this forum. However, in order to complete with your false ceiling work, please lay a HDMI signal cable from the approx PJ location upto the AVR location. You may also make a provision of 5A switch socket electrical point near the projector location. once this is done, proceed with the FC work and leave about 12" x 12" cutout in the FC where you intend to install the PJ. This small patch can be completed once your PJ is installed and its testing is done. Height of the PJ bracket will depend upon the PJ and the screen distance, etc.

With this kind of tight budget, you can try portable projectors such as LG make PB60G. This is a LED projector - very compact - as small as a desk top calculator. In India it may cost around 50K. I have used it for about a year (about 100 hrs. viewing) with a 106" screen. The image quality is fairly good if the room is dark. It has a small built in speaker too. Take a demo of it at a nearby LG store. This projector is a good entry level unit. I was so fascinated with this PJ and the excitement of movie theater in home that very recently I migrated to a top of the line Epson TW8200 PJ.

The LG - PB60G projector has only one 1/4" screw socket (similar to a camera) for fixing. So one can either use it as a table top or use it with a tripod. For ceiling mounting, one has to fix a kind of shelf hung from ceiling as hanging from just one screw is bit risky. It also comes with a small remote.

Can any body advise me about Epson EH-TW550. Amazon Quoting 54000 for the Projector. Any other better alternatives (cheaper) ?

Additionally went to a home theater specialist in Pune. He quoted me 4500 for a Projector mount 2 ft +2Ft

I went on to amazon and can see they are available from 1200 to 2000. Really appreciate if you can advise me if these are good enough and will these work with any projector that i end up buying (they are calling it universal)

Also for a 10 meter HDMI they quoted about 7000 while this is available on amazon for less than 1500.

Appreciate your response i have got two weeks ultimatum from my wife to complete my obsession before she starts the false ceiling so need to get the speaker wires, projector mount and HDMI cable in place.

If you are OK with no warranty, you can order Acer h5380bd from Amazon us .It will be perfect for you,awesome model, super pq. will come under 40k(wait for the price to come under 400$ it will lesser than 35k).Within 2 weeks ,you will get it delivered to ur house.

Two mons before i bought it . That time they shipped to india. See and monitor
Amazon surely they will change both price and shipping to India.

If you are on budget why not get a Acer H5380BD projector? There are lots of satisfied users in forum.

Just search in the forum and read and check the quality of photos in that thread.

I am travelling to Dubai and my sis to Us. Where would I get projector cheaper US or Dubai.(I hope they will be cheaper there compared to India) And considering my budget is still 35 K to 45 K

Which is the best model I should go for (720P , No 3d, about 100 inch diagonal and View HD content only) (HD channels and HD itunes content)

I have found that all the electronic items are cheaper in US compared to Dubai. I travel to Dubai very often and my relatives keep coming from US so I can compare the prices.
