Watching RRR in Zee5 - Android TV

Hi Guys,

Can some one who zee5 subscription confirm if this movie is getting streamed in 5.1 audio and 4k? I have a Sony Android TV. When I had zee5 subscription last years, all the movies were coming in stereo....

Yes, in Zee5, it's available in 4K/Atmos (checked on Firestick).

In Nvidea (2018 model) Zee5 app : RRR movie logo is showing as 4K and Atmos but while playing in Denon AVR it is showing only stereo not even 5.1
Even Samsung TV (55 inch 4K tv) Zee 5 app RRR movie logo showing only 4K ... in AVR showing only stero while playing but no 5.1 or Atmos.
Dont understand in which streaming devices Zee5 will support 4K and Dolby atmos?

Fire Stick 4k is playing in 4k and Atmos. Other devices like TV apps or Nvidia shield pro is displaying the tag of 4k and Atmos but playing in stereo and 1080p.

Works fine in Sony TV's native Zee5 app, DD Atmos showing in receiver also.

RRR did have ATMOS for a few scenes in zee5. My height speakers gave out water flowing effects. But overall the sound quality was stereo. I saw randomly here and there. Will check again and let you know.

I watched the Hindi version on Netflix. Since they just launched 4K/ATMOS, I won't be surprised by these hiccups. Hopefully, over time, they will address these issues.

Fake upscaled Atmos

This is not true, ATMOS is a different kind of sound mixing, and you can't fake it like 4K upscaling.

On a related topic, Amazon Prime, KGF 2 streams only in 1080 / 5.1 in both Nvidia Shield and Fire tv 4K max for me.

Yes, I played KGF2 in prime. It played in 1080p /5.1 for me too.
