To be precise it costs Rs 17K this year. 9.1 costs 13K.
I was about to purchase the diamond 9.2, but at the
last moment decided to build an Open Baffle myself.

Yes 9.2 is older model but some opinions on web say that bass "clarity" of 9.2 is better than 10.1 and 10.2. OTOH the treble end details of 10 series is claimed to be better than 9 series.

So in the end, the standard rule applies >> audition before you finalize.
