Apologies if I missed an existing thread.

I am looking for new speakers for my desktop. Clarity, smooth fatigue-free sound and ability to use with my cell phone for audio conferencing. Usage Mostly online videos and to check out which of my CD tracks to rip with EAC.So it must not spoil the sound to the extent I will decide not a rip a track that otherwise sounds good. Coz I will be throwing away my vast junkyard of CDs after ripping. I get only once chance to decide (after having spent so much) - for lack of time/inclination to repeat review.

Listening distance always 3ft or less for private listening without eavesdroppers spying. I wont mind (would prefer) a laptop usb soundbar if the bass is articulate and its not tinny or muddy. Something better than the Z305 though. I dont want to sacrifice table space for the speakers.

Frequency response ruler flat from 20hz to 30khz. OK kidding! :D

Is the Gigaworks T20 or T40 overpriced? What sounds better at lower price?

PS: Someone please suggest me a Bose ... :ohyeah:

Thanks

Why... the great goble needs advice of the lesser mortals? Didn't expexct this from you man. What's wrong? Are you high on something?

Hi!!

Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II (2.0) Price Rs.10,890

* Creative Series II GigaWorks T40 Series II 2.0 32 watts 16 watts 50Hz 20kHz >80dB

But Sir look at the specs !! 50 Hz for such small speakers. They are quite expensive.
And I have not heard them sing. If they are exceptional then the price is justified.

If you have heard them any time can you advice on their performance and sound quality.

Cheers,
Naj

Coz I will be throwing away my vast junkyard of CDs after ripping.

I too am searching for computer speakers.
My exisitng ones burnt out.

The choice seems to be between :
- cheap plastic speakers
- extremely expensive stylish speakers with no guarantees on sound quality

Almost pulled the trigger on this one :
Flipkart.com: Altec Lansing VS2621: Speaker

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi,

I am using Corsair SP2500 for my Desktop.
Really good speaker & well built.
But the price is little bit high but no regrets for me.
Music sounds like high end speakers.
