Hi, Friends and guru's

Thank in advance.

Due to some family issues and due to my passion of not compromising in lowering in the sound, i a in dare need to find a decent sound system (headphones- wired or wireless) that i can connect with my TV , currently i am using Philips SHP2500/10 but not satisfied. Cord is long though (6m :D) but sound stage is very low and bad (Not poor but we can only hear sound when i adjust the sound to the max from the provided cord adjustment). I would have not missed it but i am using using some decent eam's (decent not expensiv:indifferent14:) like PL11 , EP11 and PL30 so my ears have become a bit more habitual of good sound and bass.

Now the main query, I need something that i can connect to my Panasonic LED FHD TV, for watching Tv and moving without disturbing anyone.

This is all i can thing for now, if you need me to tell you any more specific please let me know.

Thanks again

PS: i dont know about the types but i like listing to PL11 alot maybe because of its bass.

in ur budget, koss porta pro, audio technica ath-m35, sennheiser px-100 seem like the ones to go for.
If you are open to importing, get the brainwavz HM3 selling for 39$ atm, sale price.

Try the grado sr60i.... they might just be in your budget.

I;ve not heard them but have heard the 125, 225 and 325 of the same series... they are stunning.

+1 to koss porta pro, and if you want to save a ton of money, go for the ksc75 from koss.

AFAIK, it is the same driver as the portapro in a lighter frame. They are very good for the money.

all of the above suggestions are open backed, so if isolation is key, they wont work.

on the other hand, ive found the sound for the open backed ones better...

Yep, I too like the way open backed headphones sound. I am quite happy with the supposedly lesser bass quantity on my AD700s as well as the HD555's which I have used a lot.
But here in the OPs case, he needs something which doesnt leak sound, as he's planning to use them at night. Something like the Audio technica M35 might be better. There is also the Beyer dt235
Amazon.com: beyerdynamic DT 235 Headphone - Black: Electronics

A few other good options seem to be the Sennheisser hd428. Since senn has a pretty good distri network here, you might be able to chance upon locally, though i am not sure about the said models availability.

Another option
Amazon.com: Panasonic RP-HTF600-S Stereo Headphones: Electronics

Another very popular one
Amazon.com: JVC HARX700 Precision Sound Full Size Headphones - Black: Electronics

Hope that helps.

Without any intention of hijacking the thread, a quick reply please:
Require over-the-ear headphones for casual listening mostly with mobile phone, sometimes TV & sometimes Denon AVR.
Which should be better (in my case it means not harsh sounding and no ear fatigue):
Panasonic HTX7 or Audio Technica M-35 or T500?

If u can consider IEM, then go for Sennheiser CX 175. I am using it with my Cowon iAudio e2 mp3 player. It's just superb in all respect and serve ur purpose unless U are a bass head. It will cost u 2.4k - 2.6k. It will give u a nice balanced low, mid & high range. It still give u very punchy and deep bass when required but not boomy at all.
And it's noise cancellation is top-notch. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Hi I have a pair of Almost Mint Condition Shure SRH 440 which I intend to sell. If you are interested please PM me. I see that there I can not send you a PM. You can email me at [email protected]

If you dont consider much on built quality, go for Klipsch S4i,sounds warm and well detailed. If you can spend upto 5500, go for its rugged model.. they sound the same..

I have two .. a Sennheiser HD205 and a Grado SR80i. Both are good, but the Grado is better. They'll likely fit into your budget. You can also try Beyerdynamic and Koss.

WHile on the above subject I happened to remember AKG (available in JBL / Harman stores ) has some good ones within your budget. What Hi Fi magazine has had one good issue on headphones in the last six months.

If you like the soundmagic sound ( I own a PL 11, MP21 and ES 18) , do check out the JVC HA RX 700 and 900 headphones. Those would be my pick

Try JBL J55 On-ear Headphone,easily available,affordable,detailed,Warm,tight bass............not saying because I am using it......but use high quality files:)

Friends , having a similar requirement but with couple of slightly different parameters. Please suggest me wireless only and I can go upto 7k. Rest of the criterias are similar with OP.

Thanks in Advance
