What is your favourite opamp ?

Cranky, there is a provision for bypassing the tube stage with a jumper. Non tube sound is awful...very very bad. Tube sounds fuller and definitely more musical and as you rightly pointed out NE5532P are used...

what it is i told already !
Reasons of choosing dual are saving board space and component cost.
A dual op-amp cost less than two single in many cases.

But single op-amps give design flexibility providing offset null and external frequency compensation pins etc.

Two should take more space than one ... and component cost should be more ... dontgetit !

With all due respect to all on this forum, IMHO this question is in-appropriate on this forum.

www,diyaudio.com is far better for this question, which has ofcourse been MUCH ventilated there, by folks more knowledgeable on hard core tech used in audio.

If the SunV2 worked for you in that circuit (which you've posted recently), then why all the fuss now? You should be happy that its taken the pants out of LM4562, OPA627 etc. Isn't it??

Further, its evident that you have no clue what are the strengths of 4562 or 627/637. It is extremely disheartening to see people passing comments without even having any experience or hands on knowledge of what those items are or can do. A great pity actually!

There is no fuss :D

Sun V2 is good, but i am trying to better that with something else...
