Which A/v receiver for me - pioneer?

Ashish of avenue sound quoted 36k for Yamaha RX-V673 & 44k for Marantz SR5006. which is better for 70% movies + 30% music

673 to my ears.. Of the current lot have been impressed a lot with the yamaha's.

ok so i got these final quotes and got to choose 1.

yamaha 473 for 27k - shipped from USA and 1 yr dealer warranty
yamaha 473 for 31k - with 2 yr yamaha india bill and warranty
pioneer 822 for 26k - i yr b&w

im also getting 1912 for 35k and 673 for 36k, but considering the highest ill ever go are with paradign monitors or definite 800 in a future upgrade, do i really need a 1912 or a 673??

1913 yes, awesome amp, 1713 was very average to my ears,
Though thats precisely what im asking, is 1913 an overkill for my speakers? Do I need that amp?
Between 822/922 pioneers, denon 1713 and Yamaha 473, I would say Yamaha tops it

I wanted the 573, 38kish its coming to.
Getting the 473.. should come in next week. Spoke to a yamaha tech person. He said that unless u gonna buy towers, you dont need anything beyond 473.
Asked him if its enough to drive paradign bookshelves, he said without a hitch, u dont need a 573.
He mentioned a change in technology in the current lineup of models here in each channel gets a separate output and hence a lot more performance, aka louder... Not sure how that works though...

What did you get finally? And at what rates?

Is the Yamaha official warranty of 2 years in India? Where are their service centers?

got the 473. yamaha india is giving only 1 yr warranty. That made me purchase from avenuesound a US piece for 26K with 1 yr warranty.
