Which AVR best suits Boston XS 5.1?

From what i gather in this forum, the speakers seem to be good for movies and for low volume clarity (dialogues & surround). Any suggestions on the AVR to go with? preferably with HDMI pass through option.

Yamaha AVR matches well with it.Only issue is some FM has reported video pass through errors.

I use the Bostons with a Marantz NR 1402...been a year...works perfectly as if they were made for each other...the NR 1402 is no more available but you can look at NR 1504 (with Airplay)....Other option is Denon x500.....between the Marantz and Denon...I auditioned both AVRs and settled for the Marantz...true warm audiophile quality for music and impact performance for movies....

It is better you audition the same and decide for yourself...

There is a dealer offering Bostons with Yamaha 375. Would that combo be good? My problem is that i am too far from the places where some of these dealers are and they just have 1-2 demo setups with limited combos. Hence banking a lot on viewer's experience (not holding them for it though )

I am in the same boat as you, finalized on BA XS5.1 for speakers and searching for AVR. Keep me posted about your final decision.
