Hey guys, have placed an order for Samsung UA40D5500 and Samsung BluRay player BD C5500 online. Got a gr8 deal there. The showroom person was giving a final price of 65k. I got both the TV and Blu Ray player for 66k. Used some promo codes and stuff..
Just waiting for my Big Screen wonder... and downloading HD stuff from net these days...

I got it from Infibeam.com. They are having some My Magic Box scheme where you add a product to your account (Magic Box) and you get promo code for some discount in 72 hours. I gt a discount of 2000 bucks overall for bluray player and the LED TV.
So the combo would have cost me around 76k or something (65k +11k) had I bought it offline. But I got both in 66.

I looked for LG LW6500 while I was searching for my LED.
eZone quoted it at 85k and LG showroom quoted it at around the same price. Not much of a difference. May be either it depends on the brand or the product or even the city.
For Samsung, I saw a larger price difference, so just used the opportunity to finalize the TV.
@ Kittu: How much were you getting it in in your city?
BTW I am in Ahmedabad.

Can anyone give me an idea about the picture calibration settings and any precautions that I need to take at the initial stage?

LED TV does not need any particular precaution. Just use the natural mode for TV and cinema mode for movies.
