SET MAX HD for IPL, will be available shortly on Airtel Digital TV.

Its not just the commentary, its the stadium-like ambience that is created by the 5.1 sound.It feels as if you are in the middle of the action.

IPL5 HD is available in Tatasky with no charge. Airtel is charging RS. 150 per month(Rs 5 Per Day). Never go with Airtel. They are the big cheater.

Friends, MAX HD for IPL is now added on Airtel HD channel no. 222.
However it's not free for all (except Magnum HD and All Round pack users).
Priced at Rs. 5 /day or Rs. 150 for whole tournament.

Currently, it's giving only PCM 2.0 (Stereo) sound.
Let's see if 5.1 sound is introduced on Airtel for this channel.
Have heard that SunDirect is providing 5.1 sound for MAX HD (not sure if it's true 5.1 of broadcaster...or just a pseudo 5.1 sound).

I can smell the obvious doubt (April-May, you might get charged 300 for whole season...it's not the case however)
As this is an event based channel, Rs. 150 is the charge for whole IPL-5 season.

This is not a question about SET MAX HD being free. How about other Sports channels ESPN HD and StarCricket HD on Dish TV which are not yet launched on Dish TV !!

ESPN HD and Starcrickt are not available by default and you need to pay but last year during world cup the Star Cricket HD was telecasted free of charge. Otherwise TEN HD is available by default in HD pack.

In know OP has asked about airtel but saw lot of discussion on which DTH providers support what, seemed no one is considering dish, so just informed.
