Hi everyone, I have joined the forum recently. I have a question and needed opinion of you all.
I had a denon 1612 (Indian 220v supply) paired with Energy Take classic 5.1 speakers which I got from US (subwoofer supply 220v stepped down to 110v) since 2013. Now the denon has gone bad. I had got it repaired once after 6 yrs use then kept it wrapped and packed since my kids were fiddling with it. Opened it now after 2 years and after 3 days it just gave way. Repair cost another 7k so I decided not to get it repaired instead buy a new and better AV Reciever.
Now to the question.
I have homed on two budget AVRs based on reviews. One thing is sure iam not buying denon now. So the final two are Sony str DH590 and Yamaha HTR 3072 or maybe recently launched RX V4a. Sony avr not available in india and I'll have to get from us. Say I buy it, then my home theatre set up will have a TV working at 220v , AV Reciever at 220 v stepped down to 120 v and subwoofer at 220v stepped down to 120. There will be a ps4 routed through the avr and avr connected to tv through hdmi ARC. No other set top box connected as I use streaming services. So, will this mix and match of voltages affect sound quality cos after all they are all electrical signals ? Also, do I need to keep the warranty or service centre information handy for tv or avr cos I don't know it might burst into flames...just saying...
Other option is to buy yamaha from India but obviously it's costly presently
