Hello everyone,
I am a noob at the surround sound stuff so here's my question. I just dropped $1500 on a hand picked system that includes a Sony STR DN1030 and I am hoping to pair it with some Martin Logan MLT-2's that I also purchased. While I am still waiting for delivery to show up I am just checking to make sure I picked the right stuff for the money. Does this sound like a good match for a mid range system?
I also bought a Samsung 51" E490 3d and a Panasonic DMP-BDT220 blueray player. Got the Mediabridge Ultra subwoofer cable, 16 guage speaker wires, pair of Mediabridge HDMI cables, and some Monoprice copper banana plugs.
I researched on CNet and other review sites and picked this stuff out. Most of my research was done looking at customer reviews and CNet, however, I also considered how many people reviewed the product and what the rating was compared to the number of reviews.
I hope I picked the right stuff for the money because I stretched my budget a little and was trying to get the most bang for my buck. The only thing I had trouble finding anything about was how well those speakers would match with the sony avr. Any help is appreciated or advice on what to do now that I have already bought it. Meaning, set up advice and things like that.
Thanks,
Jimmy Travis
