Hi All,
I am looking for really really Great subwoofer for Music & Movies, among the few I have shortlisted SVS, Rythmik, monolith, I have zeroed on XTZ 10.17 Edge
https://www.xtzsound.eu/product/sub-10-17-edge?technical
reason
1) it’s Variable tuning ( ported & sealed)
2) EQ capabilities &
3) Lower footprint

Will be Paired with Yamaha A2070, Fronts Dali Rubicon LCR, surrounds SVS prime elevation
Room size 14x15 Squarish

Any inputs & suggestions is welcomed

Hi

I think we have a few members who have this sub and have mentioned about stellar performance.....your AVR and other speakers are really good....(unless you are yet to purchase them)

If setup and configuration is done properly including appropriate placement, I am sure you will be quite satisfied / happy with the setup......

I have xtz 10.17 not the edge one.
I guess edge has a more powerful amplifier. I think 14×15 can be well taken care of by 10.17. You can save some money or else 12.17

Yes 10.17 edge is 700 w RMS as compared to 10.17 which is 500 watts, rest is same. That is probably unnecessary for this room size.

the Edge amps are more robust and reliable compared to the previous amps hence they carry a 5 year warranty, while the old model amp covers 2year warranty. So it would be wise to go for the edge varient.

Yes Audition is the key factor. Rythmiks carry high reputation of Articulate and top performance bass for both movies and music.

As you are in Mumbai, get in touch with fm @mpw and check if he still has a sub he had for sale no too long ago. Here's the thread.https://www.hifivision.com/threads/my-subwoofer-sealed-10-inch-driver-400w-class-d-hypex-amp.71983/#post-796022
Might work out better than some commercially available stuff, but please do audition and take the call.

Dual subs are better in a room to reproduce smoother (low freq) response & produce higher SPL.. Please read on benefits of dual subwoofers and choose accordingly..
