Finally after a lot of thought, purchased Yamaha YHT-299 for Rs, 36500 and Pioneer BDP-170 for Rs, 12500 in htstore.in

I went through lot of stress for the past few days as i was reading everything online on different models/setup, just want to choose the right one because 50K is a lot to invest ..
Hope, i did choose the right one .. Fingers crossed --

BDP-170 is a very good player for all the media files/CD/DVD/bluray.
Good that you went for this instead of a media player.

Good afternoon, I am new joiness to this group and deeply interested in buying YHT2910/299.
I have inquire for 2910 at Indiamart and got good response from dealers. one of them from mumbai is offering YHT 2901 at Rs 37,500/- with bill and warranty. Can anybody please suggest, whether its good to go for this deal.

Guys,

Those exploring the YHT-2910 option should also think about the combo of AVR-3067 + NS-P40 speakers.
YHT - 2910 has the same receiver but it comes with NS-P20 speakers. I found NS-P40 to be clearly better than NS-P20.
And 2910 is available for ~50K while this combo costs ~51K. So, I think its worth going for it.
What do you think?

Ns-40speakers were better than 20 from reviews i have seen

If you negociate properly, you can get it for even cheaper.
htr 3067 is availible around 25,
ns p 40 is availible around 18-20.
