this unit seems to be steal at the price, though discontinued model as per website.
some one need to register as new user to get additional 1500/- discount for the final price of 20293/-.
HD receiver with YST active/powered sub are enough to compensate the spending with other speakers as bonus....

Can anyone please suggest is there any issue in buying a discontinued product? Does it mean it is not covered under warranty? Are there any issues with this product? Isnt it better than YHT-196 which costs around 22k?

Discontinued product is covered under warranty. A latest product (as always) has more features/technology rather than the earlier one's. If you are ok with the old product (Satisified with the features/technology) (keeping in mind you do not need DTS-MA, 3D support etc) you can buy it. No harm.
But future enhancement will not be possible. You would need to buy new HTIB or new AVR, speakers.

I was really looking to purchase this but the site has a lot of negative reviews and very few positive one's, plus they don't offer Cash On Delivery so making such a huge payment in advance is very risky. Also I felt that they might just be lurking customers to make payment and later cancelling their orders. Please share your experience it would help other members to make good decision.

Never buy from them. Almost 99% they cancel the order and it needs constant follow-up to get the money back. Earlier I had ordered a Induction cookware and an ironing board. Both these orders were cancelled as they told they did not have stock and wanted me wait for another 15 days for which I declined (why list it then?). It took more than a month to get the amount back after constant follow-up and dozens of emails. It is not a problem if they do not have stock but then they need to return the money immediately and I think they seldom do that. It is my experience and not sure about others but I would not buy anything from them after this.

I purchased 4 items from p...y.com one at a time.(but which where less than 2000rs individually). they reached safe through dtdc.I had pleasant experience with them. Also one of our fm purchased yamaha receiver from them.please ask his response also.
