How much do you pay per month for the wimax connection ? Is it from BSNL ?

Hey which is the BEST broadband in Bangalore without FUP.

I am currently using bsnl 750ul plus which gives 512 kbps without FUP. So i would like something with a higher speed.

i stay in banashankari 3rd stage bangalore . currently i am using bsnl broadband. i have the 512 kbps connection with no fup and pay 750 per month.

Speaking of bypassing cap limits put by iSP's, guys who are interested could check out a software called Jap.

Some of you might have heard it and usually helps in bypassing firewalls to access sites and bypass the ISP servers from detecting data usage.

But its strange to note that VPN helps in increasing speed like what music bee said I think thats just a coincidence

I do not think any service provider gives you the option of unlimited broadband without any capping called as FUP(fair usage policy) in India.

MTNL hai, to sahi hai :clapping: am on the same plan, enjoying 1.3 mbps daytime, 2 mbps night-time, and 2 mbps full-day on sundays.
(though of-late am sensing some feeling of envy against our hyd friends enjoying the superb service of 'beam' )

but sad that our OP friend cant avail of what either of the above has to offer. i dont think many of the posts here including this one that do nt relate to the kolkata-situation are really of any help to him

I am using MTNL since 5 yrs and the same plan as TheSeeker and Cherian. Absolutely no problems what so ever till date . Getting speeds between 130 - 170.

i think its 1499. they also have a plan freedom 999 where you get 12mbps upto 25gb and then 1 mbps with a max bill guarantee of 999.

vinay, do these plans require you to login from time to time. Is there a way to automate the reconnecting process as soon as the connection goes down.

Doors is right, it is near about 1499/- per month, but i pay annually about Rs.14,000/-.

You are right that we have to log in once every 24 hours and this is frustrating with other problems. I have been looking for some service provider where such log In's are not required.

However the good news is that Reliance last week has worked out where the log in page will not be there in-directly.

If you have a router then you can set the login/password in it. That should keep you logged in always. Its the same with my present ISP.

I use broadband from my cable operator, it's called Wishnet. I'm in the VIp Road region in Kolkata. It has no limits. 700 kbps for Rs. 760. And 1 Mbps for Rs. 1100/-... and more such schemes... very nice.

When i am in kolkata .. i use a tataindicom landline with broadband connectiioj. It gives me 1mbps no limit..bl i download 80 90 goligs a month 1300 bucks
