I'm searching a good 2.1 system for my pc. I've searched a lot n found Edifier C3 perfect one. But unfortunately its not available anywhere. Logitech Z623 also impressed me but I'm not a bass fan.
So need ur help to buy a good 2.1 system.

I was in similar situation as your's some months ago. Shortlisted Z623(worst of all),Klipsch pro media and Corsair SP2500. Finally bought Corsair after much deliberation.

Swans M10 should be near-perfect for you! check at hifinage.com. the owner is i think a member here, by the name 'abhi_jollyguy'.

I would go for Swan M10. Best in class out of everything available in it's price range. Would have recommended Klipsch promedia if bass was a priority.

Thx Global, I was so interested in Edifier but unfortunately not able to find desired speakers.
Are you talking abt Klipsch Promedia 2.1 ?? I can stretch my budget for it but its not available online, the only seller on ebay is quoting 22,000 INR for it.
Is there any particular place for buying such rare speakers near by Gujarat ??

if you have no reservations in buying used speakers, then place a WTB thread on some forums, including this one. KPM is tough to get now. may be an owner at/near your location would be willing to sell one.

did you check a few reviews of M10? the net is replete with them. since listening to music is your preference, these should work quite well for your requirement, just under your budget. the owner is a member too here, as i had posted earlier.

Yes, just saw the video of M10 on Youtube n seems to be quite promising. & I think I'll go for it.
& also I'll check the buy n sell thread also.

& a small query, my pc is having Intel DH77 EB mother board. Do I need additional sound card ?? Its having. 10-channel (7.1+2 independent multi-streaming) audio subsystem.

a good sound card should improve the output. though would suggest to first use the speakers on onboard audio itself, and see if you like the output. do you have any friend or acquaintance who has a sound card?

I can tell you some things that you can consider before making a decision.

- I owned a C3 some time back. Hard to get such a package below Rs 9000.
- There is another package still available. Its Edifier C6. The speakers and subwoofer are same with same external amp. Only this one is 5.1 instead of 2.1 C3. Very good deal. Still available on itdepot.com.
- Swan M10 has only 15W. C3 has 46W. I havent heard Swan.
- But I have heard good reviews of Swan M50w. Thiso one should be better than C3.
- Sound card is very imp. MB sound has a lot of noise and speakers will only reproduce what sound card gives it. MB sound gives me a headache in 1 hour. Luckily you dont have to spend a lot. ASUS Xonar DG is a good match for both C3 & C6 (have owned this as well). Xonar DX is a bit overkill. But that is good for HT surround sound.
- Even higher? Gather some patience. Marantz PM 5004 amp+Wharfedale Diamond 210 from Hifimart. This is true Hifi territory! (I just ordered this amp. Have been building patiently for 1 year !)

Happy buying !

Thx Humblebee.
Space is the main criteria hence can't go for C6.
I'm not a fan of bass or loudness. The speaker should be delivered music that even after 2 hours of working (being a photographer, sometimes editing takes long time), it should be enjoyable.
So just ordered Swan M10, may b not having watts but it will fulfill my needs. Finally, dream of having a better 2.1 system is completed. As I will get the system, I'll share my views.
Thx a lot for everyone n specially Global Rhythms for suggesting M10 & other good systems. I'm a wedding photographer n have some knowledge abt DSLRs n lenses. So if u have any query, then ask me anytime.

Humblebee, All the best for ur system n praying that ur patients ends soon. :)

I am glad that you ordered the Swans. They really make very good speakers and have got raving reviews everywhere. I am sure you will love it as you are not looking for a bassy speaker system. I was very close to buying their M200MKIII but steered towards bookshelf speakers. But even now there is this itch to get a Swan speaker. May be someday I will.

Congratulations again and do let us know how you find the Swans.

Thx a lot frnds for suggesting me a nice system. Swan wasn't in my mind. Haven't got the system yet but feeling that it'll fulfill my wish.

Thx a lot again frnds. Finally got Swan M10 delivered at home. Amazing speakers n so amazing sound quality. Even it looks so nice. Don't know how but ordered black one & got white one. But loved the look & color.
Thx "TheSeeker" & "global rhythms" for suggesting such beautiful 2.1 system.

Respected Members,

I wonder if any one can provide the info - How Swan M10 perform to produce clean audio over Klipsch Promedia minus the Wall Shattering / closet thumping bass and the RMS power.

Or they both are the same about provide clean audio....

I'm confused about after seeing this video
