My question is that when compared to Taga 506, which one will sound better according to you when paired with Marantz 1508?

Right now, i don't think there is any speaker package that can beat the Taga 506 5.0 for 17K..

The JBL 610 is 5.1 for 30K = 5 x Satellites + 8 inch active sub..

The Telome Pro 15ax is 5.1 for 38K = 5 x full range speakers + 6.5 inch sub..

For the same budget as Telome pro 15ax (38K) , a Taga 506 (17K) + Taga TSW 90/120 (20K), a 10 inch sub is more worth.. You can save may be save 2K ..

Thanks a lot everyone for your help! I will go ahead and buy Marantz 1508 and then audition speaker packages with my avr. I have a few options to consider thanks to you guys!

Yes...do that.....audition and decide....finally you will be the end user.....The Telome active sub is based on the Bose Acoustimass design and it has 2 bass woofers of 6.5 inch in the cabinet....decent bass as low as 28hz or 30hz....based on the placement in the room near corners etc, i am sure it will be quite a good performance....nevertheless pls audition!
