A Hotter Future Is Certain, but How Hot Is Up to Us.

The headline could be misleading as their population is 11,500 people, I think my housing society has more people :D
I assure you it’s a small but legit country in the pacific. I been there.
People have lived there for a long time.
Their numbers may pale in comparison with ours. But does it make a difference given they are losing their janmabhoomi thanks to global warming with help from the rest of humanity?
Their small numbers make it easy to relocate and rehabilitate.
The headline is dramatic as you point out but it’s definitely more catchy than a headline that says half a million people migrate from South Sudan due to drought, crop failures and violence. Climate induced migration is usually slow and insidious and happening in many parts of the world.
There are those who postulate farmer suicides are linked too.
Check out some visuals from Tuvalu:

Anyone here has bought an EV ?
What I have understood is that 40% of the cost of an EV is the battery and that despite warranty has a high probability of giving up in 8 years and you are left with an highly depreciated vehicle with no resale value since the cost of battery replacement is the cost of the vehicle.
Any research/view on it ?
Came across this recently…
