Advice for System and Places to look for in bangalore

Hi,

I am looking for System, Primarily for Music and for some movies as well occasionally, Have been to Onkyo store and had a feel of 3400 HT and some other models Like 508 AVR+ Nano Wave but din't like any of the combos.

My Budget is around 40-45 K, So I have narrowed Down to Bose Acoustimass 5 series and along with that compatible Denon 16xx series (Denon as a choice because of bot music and movies playback equally also series depend on the perfect match with bose).

Bose because as my budget is limited currently and I will have space to upgrade the system later on by buying centre and rear speaker to make it a complete 5 channel system. I don want to compromise on quality though my
budget is limited hence starting slowly with couple of speakers and keeping room for future upgrades.

Any other system any one can recommend which can provide wider range of frequencies as bose provides which is in my budget also can be upgrade-able.

Also good stores in bangalore where we can have good prices as well have good diversity in the systems.

firstly i dont think the bose acoustimass series is a good set up. bose does have some good products (301's for example) but the am series is definitely not one of them

as for your requirement at that price point i would suggest a stereo set up considering you listen to music more. you will get much better sound quality that a surround sound at the same price.

for speakers you can look at wharfedale diamonds (10 series), monitor audio bronze, kef q series, bose 301 (well rounded set of speakers), usher s520 (apparently the speakers to beat at the price point) - all bookshelves. once you decide on a set up speakers we can help you with amps to match. brands out there are cambridge, nad, marantz, yamaha.

whats important to note that different speakers have different characteristics and suits diff listening habits. so its imp for you to listen and buy a pair of speakers that suits what you like. also pairing (matching amp for the speakers) is imp as well. different amps of similar quality will makes set ups sound different
