Advise/Help - How to fix Technics SL3200 Dustcover Hinge

Hi all,

I have been using a Technics SL3200 direct drive for some time now and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment I've spent listening to it spin my vinyl collection. However one little thing keeps coming back to my mind and that is the dustcover hinges do not click into position when the dust cover is raised. Hence, I've got to either play the table without the dust cover on or hold it up with the side on my elbow while I place the LP on the table. Being a DIY guy (to some extent), I was wondering if I could attempt to fix it? My brother's SLBD20B dust cover hinge clicks into position holding the dustcover up at about 75 degrees or so.

Any suggestions or advise? Thanks in advance.

If I understand it correctly, the hinges dont hold the lid in upright position and you need a lock mechanism to do so.

Since you are a DIY guy, buy good hinges which have a tight play from a hardware store and change them.
