All That Jazz ...

Newbie here. I did a quick thread search and found that Patricia Barber and her seminal album cafe blue was not mentioned once. It may be more blues than Jazz perhaps but i find this album technically near perfect and it has everything. Nice dark background, great mids, lovely layered and well separated highs and masterfully precise base. For anyone who has not heard Patricia Barber or Cafe blue, pls consider it highly recommended.

If there’s such a thing as an obscure Miles Davis album, ‘Aura’ would probably be it. It was the last album to be released in his lifetime, and stands head and shoulders above most of his 80s output.
While most of the musicians are Danish, it also features a few familiar names like John McLaughlin, Marilyn Mazur and, wait for it… NHOP :)
