NO MORE upgrades or additions for me ... thats it! I ain't an audiophool! Just like good music, thats all. Enough spent ... maybe, would forget about music after 1st August ... there is a big inflow of Yanks, Limeys, Krauts ... the bloody beggars ... in my line of business ... head banging would start now.

Carried out your dictates. Increased the distance between the two from 6' (earlier reported erroneously as 4') to 8'. Given a toe-in @ 60 deg. Decreased distance from back wall to 0.5' ... result = tremendous increase in clean tight bass ... improved SQ cleanliness ... on some vocals the speakers disappeared. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was singing in front of me!

Hope now the Krell has finally found its mate in the Krypton Audio K300TL speakers and hope the marriage last for a life time. Now we demand for some photographs.

Also looking for the feeback from delhihifigroup about the setup.

Unless you are a basshead, leave atleast 2' from the rear wall. From side walls, it shoulg be atleast 2.5 foot and atleast 8 foot between speakers for good imaging. (Which means 8+5 = 13 foot wide atleast if you have a floorstand)

When i tested these speakers at my home at barely 4' distance, i still could get proper channel seperation and good stereo imaging without any effort. So i think Avid should be okay with 8' of distance between the 2 speakers. I will recommend him to get feedback from other FM before placing them over 8' or there can be a problem of hole in the middle.

Do let me know your feedback if you happen to visit Avid home for the speaker audition tomorrow. Will like a feedback from all of you for further improvement of my designs.

Hope so. I think he has now completely isolated himself and is getting engrossed with the setup. I think he is discovering new details in the recordings which he as never heard before. It has happened with me couple of times when i have done with all the tweaking and i get carried away with the music and details and do not realize the time. When i eventually glaze at the wall-clock it would be around 2AM at night :)
 
Baah ....... here goes you impatient lot.
I was with some interesting fem company ... taking advantage of my better-half's absence ... she wanna learn a bit about hi-fi .... and I am willing to teach free of cost and also take care of the fooding .... most of you 'kids' won't know how relishing it is :licklips: ... ok, herez the show, hope it comes out as desired ... am doing it first time ... maybe, beginner's luck should come into play .....

avid - hmmm have you clicked the fem in those pics?
I will not be able to show up tomorrow morning. Saari khudai ek taraf.... hope you understand.
I will aim for sunday early morning if that suits you. though I have to check my own setup with a new source on sat night/ sunday morning.

BTW - what are you using as a source?
