What is your max budget

If 5 Inch woofer is Ok then there are 2 Yamaha Active Studio Monitors Diff Models at RS 17 K and 26 K ( as I remember) and One KRK ( around 26 K) on various online sites ( can provide links)
( Just saw the Ads I have NO relation or commercial interest wit sellers) I bought mine from similar Ad.


BTW I heard brand new M audio BX 8 A is around 28-29 k Need to confirm

Also I have another Edirol ma150d - v Good bass and sound for its size Also it has optical and co axial inputs has decent dac.Has bass boost too !

Me ( and Dave) planning to go for active route . I find it fascinating as ( THIS IS MY LOGIC MAYBE COMPLETELY WRONG)

1) Many active speakers are bi amped so separate power amp for each woofer & tweeter again separate set for both speakers
2) Matched according to experts who supply it to studio. I think they are better equipped.
3) Rugged construction
4) People say studio speakers are dry Cold etc..I liked some in my audition again there is a lot variation in sound


BTW at mutual convenience you are always welcome !!! We find this active experimentation interesting!
