Has anyone tried the Vadya app that claims to deliver bit-perfect playback?

I’ve been a long-time user of Foobar with my ESI Juli@ card, and it has worked well for me. That said, Foobar comes with a lot of settings to tweak, whereas Vadya seems much more straightforward and easy to set up. My first impressions are positive.

If they eventually add Apple Music streaming (and possibly other services), it could become a true all-in-one solution.

According to their website, Vadya supports:

  • ASIO — Direct hardware access for professional audio interfaces (depending on driver support)
  • WASAPI Exclusive Mode — Bypasses the Windows audio mixer for pure, unaltered output
  • Wide format support — FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, OGG, and more
  • Hi-Res audio — Up to 32-bit/384 kHz (DSD support coming soon)
  • Bit-Perfect Verification — Real-time indicator confirming exclusive mode, zero resampling, and source integrity

Would love to hear others’ experiences.

I am a long user of foobar with my esi jul@ card and seems to be good. However foobar has lot of settings to play around and this seems to be straight forward. Initial impression is good, however if they could implement streaming of apple music and much more it will be all rounder.

It claims supporting Asio & wasapi.

Every bit of your music, delivered without resampling or processing.

  • ASIO Support — Direct hardware access for professional audio interfaces, where supported by your hardware drivers.
  • WASAPI Exclusive Mode — Bypasses the Windows audio mixer for pure, unaltered output.
  • All Formats — FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, OGG, and more.
  • Hi-Res Ready — Supports high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/384 kHz. DSD playback coming soon.
  • Bit-Perfect Verification — Real-time indicator confirms exclusive mode, zero resampling, and source integrity.
Hello,

I have been trying it for the past few days . Initial impressions are very very positive.

Regards
Rajiv

oh...it is windows-based player...I initially presumed it for for phones.
Foobar being freeware, they cannot embed things like direct ASIO/WASAPI support etc...but can be downloaded and installed as a component.
If you are on a windows-based machine, there are many tweaks you can do to the OS to improve latency. They make a much bigger difference to the SQ.

Yes , already using foobar with waspai and asio support and sounds better here. What are the other additions in foobar apart from this to try ?

I'm using Foorbar2000 with wasapi output on Windows 11 PC to USB Dac for playback. Please mention the tweaks.

Very positive

Do not use pc directly for playback - either via pci or usb. Both ways sound horrible. Does not matter what software you use.

A pc is good only as a media server.

I am a long time music bee app user, was trying other bit perfect players and stumbled upon Vadya. Have been using it for last few weeks or so. My impressions, I very much like the UI/UX, it is very clean and decluttered. Regarding the playback I use ASIO for feeding to my topping e30 DAC. So far the app is very smooth and achieves bit-perfect playback.

I appreciate the app for its ability to do application less remote feature on mobile. It is easy to control during playback.

All in all, I would say it is a very good decluttered music player for pc.
