Aramex shopandship - Never again...

This is the third purchase I have done through Aramex shopandship from USA and my last. Lessons learned:
(1) Their offices in India and USA have absolutely no coordination and they just take unilateral decisions, often contradictory to what their other offices tell them, and ultimately as a customer, I suffered.
(2) They never make it clear to you the formalities and documentation needed at the beginning (so that you can decide whether to go ahead with the purchase or not) but once you buy and the goods reach the NY address, there are so many delays because they start asking for all sorts of documentation and formalities.
(3) They make all false promises in the beginning but are unable to keep them. You, customer, have to go through all agonies and tension.
(4) I will never again do business with them.

This is my experience and posted as a warning to other potential customers, especially those who are looking to buy high-value itmes. I, myself, am contemplating sending a legal notice to them for compensation.

Google alert is an awesome application. That is how companies get to know about new webpages created with their company name in it. :D

I had already e-mailed them with details but don't think they are going to do anything about it. I tell the company's US and Indian representatives that the order should be delivered by such a date, plenty of time for them to plan and act, and if they cannot commit, return the item to the supplier so that I can go after refund. I also paid them a hefty advance towards freight and Customs clearance. The Indian representatives also tell the US people that they cannot deliver in time due to long drawn procedures here. In spite of all these, the US guys just ship it! I am about to leave to my work-place, don't want it delivered here in my absence, but it has just arrived and awaiting clearance, so they cannot return it. It is a Catch-22 for me.
You may be interested to know that they send the item from USA to Saudi Arabia where it lies for 2-3 days before it is shipped to India, and another 3-5 days for Customs clearance. So a shipment takes more than a week to deliver. When you count some holidays also falling in between, you can imagine the rest.

Thanks to those who have been reading these. I wish to wind up my experience here without going into details, having lost the battle, to remind those wanting to utilise this service of "shopandship" that you may end up as my "shopandshipandsink".

I second murli as far as shopandship.com is concerned, the site is hopeless

imagine, I order a phone it has reached to shopandship ny office and as per them it is empty, when asked to share the clipping the India manager replied, please visit the US shopandship office to view the clipping,

isnt great, in a MNC company of 22nd century, they dont share the clipping and they want me to visit ny office to view the clipping,

The above is not one example:
another one for the readers, i ordered a phone from Google nexus 4, it reaches shopandship and they charged me twice the shipping cost, when ask the reason from the India manager anuradha, she informed me that you should contact me earlier for this issue but after you receive I cannot do anything and can sympathize you

There are many examples like this; website is acting funny at times,

i would consider this as a cheap and useless service and one should not go for their service,

Pathetic is the word which perfectly resonate with them
