This is actually not an Audiophile Joke but happened with me yesterday. I told my daughter - " Let me teach you to play a ' LP Record'."
She told - " Dad I would love too, but I am scared looking at the amount of switches to turn on/off".
I told - " Really".
Later I started counting number of switches I turn on/off to play a record. And she was right and it indeed is scary.
Here is the list, that needs to be turned on/off
- Turntable
- phono preamp
- Monoblock Left
- Monoblock Right
- Bi-amped woofer amplifier ( Denon AVR)
- Subwoofer Amplifier
- Field coil speaker power supply
- Low pass filter power supply
After compiling the list I sighed and never dare to ask my daughter again.
