I have denon x4800h . Updated 3 times since i bought it. Updated in denon settings firmware update. Did not have single issue.

Whats the need for the firmware update in the AVR? What does it enable? If you don't do the firmware update then? And let's say you have a separate streamer which is updateable...rather than the AVR and the streamer is giving input to the AVR then?
