begginer setup bugs

hi guys..

after a long wait.. my new system is online now..
i am proud owner of wharfadale and yamaha..(specs in my signature...)


i am great fan of hotel California..
the first thing i wanted to here on my system was obviously it..
i bought original video dvd but to the disappointment..
in the song the voice of don henly is going cracks....
I mean in desi "awaz fat rahi hai.."

i checked the db of center channel, reduced it... increased it..
reduced and increased the cross over frequency of woofer..
changed the center speaker's specs to small from large..

but i am not getting the result.. the other vocals in dvd are also cracking but not at that scale that in hotel california..

some where down the line i have started making assumptions may be the dvd recording has the issue..
or don's voice is husky..(i am sure its not.. in have heard the song hundreds of time)
but before i do that..
can some one please suggest any modification in my settings..

@dvd player-Lg(waiting for blue rays to get more reasonable. . )
(infact i was gonna buy one good dvd player yamaha or pioneer but as u suggested on telephonic conversation i am waiting for blue ray now..)

@cables- DAC 16 guage

@Pardon on connections- i didnt understand what does it mean by connection?

to be honest the system 2day wouldnt have been possible without ur guidance sir!!

just to add up..
earlier my fronts and center were normally wired..
i felt the voice issue..
and out of curiosity i bi-wired them..
but the problem just got little bit better..
