Best BS Speakers under 8K INR

Dear Friends,

I am looking for a pair of BS speakers for use with my Pioneer AMP rated at 60Watts at 8 ohms, however being short on dough I am presently using a pair of SONY mini hi fi speakers and needless to say the sound is crappy -- very bright and the bass is overpowering. Can you all please help me choose a pair of speakers in the price bracket mentioned above,brand not a concern but should sound good. I normally hear a lot of instrumental, country and soft rock. Film music is a no no.

i have not heard the combo ....but in your budget of 8K .....u can go for used speakers .....or Cambridge S30 / Wharf 9.1 ....around 10 to 11 K ....

+1 to that, S30 is good.Mission m30i is OK.
Lithos mini around 5.5k.
Q-acoustic 1010i around 12k.

Great suggestions so far; also check out Polk Audio monitor 30.

Get the cheapest Wharf you can get. Something like 8.1 or 8.2 or 9.0.

If not, then get Audioengine AE2 for like 10.5k
