Best budget Bookself speakers

From my experience no body can tell how a speaker will behave in all scenario. Its completely depend on source to speaker also very important is the room placement. The same system will sound different from room to room the main observation is in bass department then comes mid bass.

Also you can check one model :- Pioneer SP-BS22-LR Andrew Jones Designed Bookshelf Loudspeakers which is a very good option you can check review in stereophile.com

Superb will check. Exactly. Before, for my demos I used to carry my amp and my own music source. Since I sold the amp I am just going with the word of the forum members.

True, nothing better than listening and letting the ears be the judge. Superb, will check the mode out. Thanks :)

Dali, although being great speakers, are very over rated. And sellers feed off the ignorance of new buyers, hence used Dali are stupidly expensive. When people start buying newer, less expensive and better brands, maybe this trend will stop.

Yeah, as you mentioned, the used price of a Dali is almost same as a brand new one. Today's update is that I will be going to audition the Zensor 3 with a few tracks of my own. Will keep you all posted.

My suggestion would be to go ahead with Mission LX-2. Even though i haven't heard it personally my bias towards it is due the global review especially from https://www.whathifi.com/mission/lx-2/review and from our hifivision member http://www.hifivision.com/reviews/67548-unboxing-first-impressions-mission-lx2.html

I'm planning to build my setup next year and first set is going to be the Mission LX-2 with an amp.

LX-2 has an amazing global review. However I haven't auditioned the pair. But I did get to listen to a pair of MX-2. In my opinion it sounded nice but it was put against a Dali, the Dali seemed more ambient and bright (Bright to a point of liking).

As of this moment my shortlist is LX-2, Zensor 3 and probably anything else which sounds better than the either haha. Hoping to grab a pair of Dynes if available too but let's see how it goes

Today will be auditioning a pair of Zensor 3s for the first time, will keep the thread posted about how it went.

i am facing the same dilemma myself having sold my wharfe diamond 121s. I have zeroed to qacoustics 3020i for their easy driving (and hence i can pair it with an smsl q5 pro or similar amp ) vs the kef q300 vs the elac b6.

UPDATE :

Auditioned a pair of Zensor 3's. One thing to note is the incredible amount of bass this little bookshelf offers. And another standout for me is the wide soundstage, it felt good.

Definitely better than the Mission MX-2 (Not LX-2) is what I felt.

Zensor 3 feels like a slightly power-hungry speaker pair, but nonetheless the sound was very dynamic and the mid-bass felt good. Maybe it could sound better on some highs or it just needs some running in (I auditioned on a pair of brand new just unboxed speakers)

As of now, preferring the Z3 but an LX-2 or even a KEF audition in Bangalore will help me get more clarity to decide.

In that budget there are very speakers as well rounded as the Z3. Be it Music wish a Stereo amp or Movies with a receiver, these will keep you entertained.

True, I am hunting for the best prices now in Bangalore. If you have any contacts please let me know or you could PM me as well. My audition was HT Store in JP Nagar.

Little bookshelves??? They are quite huge man! Lol

All this speaker run in I think is just made up stuff. Sometimes the mind just plays tricks on us and we feel a speaker sounds better after run in just cause u think so. Maybe, maybe not. The Dali is a really good speaker. So is the Elac b6. So are the kef300. So are the MA bronze.

What was the quote you got? DNI had quoted 32k without any negotiations. You can reach out to them on 9845283741 and 9538893288. I had visited their Belandur outlet and I have seen a new outlet opposite Phoenix Mall, Mahadevpura, beside Pro FX.

Running in is a never ending debate, some believe that the speaker is a mechanical device and needs to be run in, some believe the listener's ears are mechanical devices which need getting used. Either way, a bit of running in either for the speaker or the listener is needed :ohyeah:. Just like the initial running in of an automobile. Some take the car straight to a drag strip, while others very patiently restrict their urge.

Z3 is more rounded than the B6. Kef q300 is in another segment, hence should not compare with these. MA never heard, so no idea. In the end, every speaker is a good, it all depends on the listener's tastes and the rest of the components in the chain including the room.

Haha my bad, I am a Floorstander guy so not used to much of BS. I just had a Wharf 9.1 for my PC and room so the word 'little' had to come out haha.

Thanks for the contact. Will reach out to them. 31k is what I got from HT World, JP Nagar. (34.5k being MRP I believe)

Been more a running-in guy when it comes to any product haha, so I do believe it works.

Yep, getting this from a lot of users then Z3 is more rounded. I hope to settle down with a pair. :licklips:

I love the community here haha, everyone has been so helpful in so many ways in my journey into AV. Started AV when I was 8 years old and 13 years later here I am digging day and night on AV forums and communities.

Cheers guys.

Will keep you posted on the purchase or decision taken.

If I had 35k for bookshelves, I would personally do a lot better than Dali.

The kef300 someone has here for sale for 34k are something to blindly buy.

Personally for me, 35k I would take the monitor audio or the Kef 300 eyes shut.

Got the Dali Z3 and was stuck to it from the afternoon. Currently driving it with my Onkyo Receiver. Will be giving a full fledged review and first impression very soon.

Thank you all who replied on this thread, this gave me a lot of clarity on what to pick. Hope it helps the other members who are looking for something similar in the budget.

Regards,
Anirudh Rao.

Congratulations. Excellent decision. Do post your buying experience and initial impressions out of the box. Try recording a snippet and comparing it a similar recording after a week or so.

Where are you located in Bangalore? Do drop in if you wish to A B them with Kef towers and a Marantz receiver.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
