OK guys, had a very long chat with Sunit and Devkumar of Peerless. Re-importing of drivers through Peerless is ruled out due to bureaucratic red tape. We will have to pay customs and duties as explained earlier here

Since it has been some time since the GB was announced, I'm not sure how many of us are still interested. I'm posting the interest here (Including those who posted lately) Kindly calculate your payments by discounting the below figures to the tune of 15%

Do also mention in the thread as to how many of us paid already. Shall we keep the payment open of a certain period of time? We can give a cutoff date within next 15 to 20 days IMO. What do you say?

I just came across this thread - Wonderful initiative.. but unfortunately i saw the thread little late :sad:

I have a 5.0 HT setup of PSB Image bookshelf Speaker that I use for moveis and the sub is yet to be bought.

Can you please help me know if any of the speakers on group buy, be used to make a decent sub for movies i.e my HT setup? if yes can you also possibly advise on my below queries :
(1) what will have to be the size of the cabinet for same and
(2) what all i can get from group buy/ Denny and what will have to be bouth from outside for this requirement.
(3) I there any one who can make/ assemble cabinet for the sub in Mumbai ( as I am sure its not my cup of tea to make it myself )
(4) what shall be the specs of the sub - like frequency response etc.
(5) will it work on 220v power supply we have here or shall need a step down.

Thanks a ton for your help in advance and sorry for being too late to ask all these question when you all folks are almost finalizing your orders...

i would need X-LS Encore Stereo speaker pair kit

then i would also wish to add one more speaker to the same book shelf if that is possible and usefull

the way it is there in the paradigm signature series Paradigm Signature S4 Loudspeaker Review (Audio Ideas Guide)

do we have a driver,sub,tweeter all in one bookshelf ( X-LS encore , will it work good for bass , mids , highs etc ) or do we need to add one more small sub ? or will it be an overkill ?

if yes then is the crossover which you providing will help to connect all the three ( tweeter, driver, sub ) ?

because i dont want to go for a separate sub , iam looking for 2 channel setup, bookshelf with all the capabilities to play the bass , mids, higs etc

Hi Tanoj,
X-LS Encore are rear ported 2 Way speakers and what you are expecting is 3 way speakers. These speaker are designed for specific parameters and its crossover and cabinet is also specially designed. It could not be changed. This supposed to give best audio reproduction and award winning compared to $700 priced speakers.

Ideally single speaker systems are good for music listening. But due to various parameters (Frequency response) we compromise on 2 way. As these 2 way are good, its placement in listening room is also important. There you get exact reproduction of sound. (I excluded other components like - cables, IC, amp and sources etc)

Rather than 3 way go for 2.1 because Low frequency of woofer is better if its seated close to floor. Sub option is here in this group buy. For re-enforcement of bass, people go for MTM (mid-tweeter-mid) type floor stander too. This option is not here in this group buy.

I hope, I answered some of your queries with my sparse knowledge in the subject.

The SW12B sub it is sold out. Only this is available.
