Hi,

I am not a member of Paypal after my account was hacked and am not holding any credit cards right now. Is there some way by which I can pay using US $ travellers cheques or in Indian rupees?

Thanks and regards.

I don't remember about something extra. Everything was added to final exchange rate INR 50.88 = 1 USD that day.
Secondly, one of the members is unable to make payment. I'm quoting him below:
His status is verified but it seems that he has added new CC to the a/c. That is pending confirmation. He need to finish that.

This is link for help.

Looks like the ICICI is having technical difficulties in addressing any query request on transaction.

so,not sure how much was "additionally"charged. but here is the paypal abstract.

Amount sent: -$126.65 USD
Fee amount: $0.00 USD
Net amount: -$126.65 USD (equals -Rs.6,445.72 INR)

Conversion from: -Rs.6,445.72 INR
Conversion to: $126.65 USD
Exchange rate: 1 Indian Rupee = 0.0196487 US Dollars

Date: 12-Feb-2012
Time: 09:33:33 GMT+05:30
Status: Completed

Nothing is charged to us when we send money ..other than the fact that the paypal exchange rate is more probably more than the official conversion rates that u see. But advantage is that your cc will be billed in rupees now itself ...However, if you dont want to use paypals exchange rate, you can do that also ...but then ur card will be charged in USD and the conversion when it happens by your card is at an unknown rate. However, Danny will be charged some fees for receiving money .

credit card charges about 2% of the value, not sure of paypal .

sorry stereorules,
my mistake, it is 3.5% and not 2% if you do any transaction other than Indian Rs.

ok I dont know about that. However, if you use paypal to convert, then ur card will be billed in INR so those 3.5% will not be charged. I have made payments with paypal and the exact Rs was charged in my card ...only thing to see is what exchange rate paypal is using.

There really is no comparison. All other subs are uncontrolled by comparison. And the servo subs play flat to 20Hz and are -3db down in the teens.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for your reply, after your reply i tried to google, everywhere i saw very good things being said about your Servo subs + Brian's servo amp combination. However I have a couple of more questions given below, which i would request your help for:

1) I understand basis your words and reviews on internet, that this servo sub + servo amp combination makes woofer give very fast response and at the same time the woofer gets back to resting position very quickly which is very good. But is that a good thing for the subs to be used for music or this is something that is needed for movies too? I know a lot of people are very happy with this sub+ amp combi however most of them seem to be using this sub combination for music purpose hence this question

2) my room size is 9.5 feet (W) * 22 feet( L) * 9 feet (H) - For this rooms size and my main usage will be for movies and I may use this for music only 25% of times. So keeping both these things in mind, would you suggest to go with a 12" servo woofer or 15" ? also will one servo woofer based sub be able to fill my room? or will there be a lot of difference between single woofer based sub and dual woofer based sub in my room?

3) would you suggest a sealed sub design or ported one?

4) what might be the approx weight of SW-12-04 + Servo amp combination

Thanks a ton for your help with above in advance and have a nice day ahead.

Regards,
Naren

While i was searching for more info on x-ls series, i bumped on this link. Towards the end you can see a pair of X-ls tower with the same book shelf components. But i think it is not X-ls encore.

Hey guys,

If you use Paypal then the 3% Paypal fees are paid by the receiver (me) and not you (the receiver). The same goes for credit cards. I can accept any major credit card too, BTW.

1) I understand basis your words and reviews on internet, that this servo sub + servo amp combination makes woofer give very fast response and at the same time the woofer gets back to resting position very quickly which is very good. But is that a good thing for the subs to be used for music or this is something that is needed for movies too? The servo sub is the highest quality low frequency reproduction subs on the market. And they work just fine for home theater applications as well. Nothing about the home theater application changes anything other than the fact that some people want even higher SPL levels for some movies.

We don't offer a 15" woofer. It just didn't make any sense to do so. The 12" woofer already plays flat to 20Hz and is -3db down in the teens. So going to a larger and heavier moving mass only increases the time to return to rest and sacrifices quality. I advise that if you need more output than a single 12" servo sub can provide then use two of them. That gives you more SPL without sacrificing quality.

I use a single 12" servo sub in my room that is 17' by 23' and has 9' ceilings. It can easily balance to the output levels of any speakers I use. But I am not looking to over blow the bass or bring the house down either.

If you are looking for really loud SPL levels then you might want to use 2 of them.

3) would you suggest a sealed sub design or ported one?

Ported boxes are used to extend low frequency extension beyond that of a sealed box. But with a servo sub a ported box is not necessary. The servo control will force the driver to maintain a linear response down to whatever the extension filter is set for. So going to a ported box just adversely effects the group delay and nothing is really gained.

4) what might be the approx weight of SW-12-04 + Servo amp combination

The woofer is 20 pounds and the amp is 18 pounds.

That is the X-SLS Classic. It is the Classic X-LS in a larger ported box. The same small floor standing version can be built for the X-LS Encore. X-SLS Encore. :)

Hi guys
It is 20 days since we initiated the payments. When are we closing the GB? Anxious to get the kits:licklips:

Hi guys

I think we need to wait for some more days. After I made the payment and updated the sheet I can see that the total amount is still hovering around 7.1k yet to reach anywhere near to the magic figure of 10k. Hopefully it should happen. I can see there were quite a few names without any amount listed against them. I think if everybody pays up we should be able to cross the magic figure..so fingers crossed till then...:)

I think people are waiting to cross CC bill date. After that they can avail next 50 days credit. ;)

Hi Capt, I just started a speaker project and need damping material. Would it be possible to sign me up for a few no-rez sheets (4).
