Best ever deal for loudspeaker kits.

Thanks Captain!
My orders are correctly reflected in the Doc.

PS: Noticed cganeshprabhu's total amount paid seems to be wrong.

gift a pair of speakers to the officer and hope for the surprise..:)
and who will fund it?

I've made this payment on his behalf and is correct. Why do you say so?

Edit: You are right. That was a typo. Initially there was some miscommunication and Danny did not add cost of rears. Though it was thankfully rectified before pallet was made, it did not get reflected in the packing note. There were a lot more typos and errors. I pointed out the differences and sent to Danny and he sent me a revised packing note but seem to have copied the old file to the Google doc I guess. Have made changes. Thanks for pointing out.

Currently who is going to pay the customs and other "misc"?

Hey Sajith buddy, pushing me to a corner huh!:ohyeah:

OK guys, here is an update. Danny, who deals only with big shippers as he imports container loads of stuff, was finding it difficult to organise shipping to India within the budgeted cost.

He had asked me to organise a shipper. I've scouted around and organised a few of them. All but one of them are still processing the proposal; one has given a quote which is apparently by far the best Danny received. It may take others a couple of days more I guess.

Will post the happenings here.

This did came to my mind when the custom duty calculation sheet was in discussion.

I guess we all can pool in the monies by the time Custom payments comes in picture,as this could be a large sum from an individual perspective.

Alternative can be like, few individuals can pour in to make the total sum ( say 25k or so from my side ) and later settled by all individuals with their respective amounts.

AFAICS, costs involved are as under: -

1. Customs, duties, cess etc.
2. Service charges of Customs clearance agency.
3. Handling charges at the port.
4. Transportation charges from Port to warehouse.
5. Handling, repacking and courier charges.
6. Facilitation charges (which is what Sajith and you are referring to)

Forum is open for discussion. :)

Hey Captain,

I think you mentioned in one of the earlier posts that the total custom charge will be around 35% (approximately). Do we have clarity on this, especially for individual items listed by you above?

Thanks

Yes, the ones listed @ 1 & 2 above would be 35%. I do not want to speculate on the rest but do not foresee them to add to the cost significantly. One of the shippers had indicated the one listed at 6 to be in the range of 10-15K.
