IMO Videocon D2H provides the best VFM HD package. 22 HD channels for Rs.175/- appx.

isn't they upscale & broadcast few HD channel ?

I use tatasky, im pretty satisfied, just remember apart from few HD one need to watch 100 Sd channel as well.

is tatasky broadcasting sd channels with 1080i conversion? sd channels will look bad in all dth services .videocon hd dth is vfm over all hd dth services available in India.Tatasky is daylight cheating with hd access fee of 100 rs over hd subscription fee for channels.is it not looting subscribers?

na TS don't do any upscling.
but the quality of SD channel is comparatively better in TS, better audio quality in SD channels compared to any other DTH.

their price is high no doubt. and HD access fee is something i don't see any logic behind.

NOTE:-
A merger between three DTH, Zee TVs Dish TV, Bharti Airtels Digital TV, and Videocons d2h is being discussed.

depends what you want............TS will give you the best signal quality but they don't have too many HD channels. Videocon and Airtel have maximum channels but can't beat Tata Sky when it comes to signal quality and service.

if Tatasky is so good means y people are running out from it.Plain that it self has answer for all questions.
money man money!
as our economy is dying bit-by-bit everyday. its tough for everybody to continue with same expenses like before, people trying to find out a cheaper alternative for each & everything.

i bleed blood when i buy potato for 70/- kg, which was 7/- a year back.

Yes, i agree today in Rs 100, you can't even buy 1 kg of potato, onion and tomato such are the state of affairs.

The HD access fee is a pain in TS, along with which you need to have the SD channel subscribed in the base pack. For Videocon it's simpler, you pay Rs 175 and you get all 22 HD channels. Videocon DTH users please correct me if i am wrong.
