Best Linux distributions for multimedia

I have been using LibreElec on an Odroid C2 and DietPi/Volumio/Moode on Raspberry Pi3 with Allo Boss DAC as well as HDMI audio out to a Marantz SR 6012 receiver. I have so far not been able to achieve the same music quality (even over HDMI) with any of these distros on Raspberry Pi3. Tried different up-sampling options as well, but no it still doesn't get that soothing sound with right amount of sparkle and warmth that LibreELEC on C2 is delivering. Will try LibreELEC itself on Pi3 and see one of these days...
