After visiting HFV and other forums, auditioning for more than a year and half now things are pretty clear, the sounds that I like will cost me at least 2 L+ (Should hv grabbed the offer for the brand new 1911 at 27k 0r the 2311 @31k last Diwali) I'll plan for my HT later, and settle for the speakers for my workstation for the time being.
The requirement is for 80% music, 20% movies.Room size 16'x12' .Soundcard Creative Audigy2 mostly used with digital sequencers,samplers etc..
Which one will be better Edifier S550 at 16k (Specs at Edifier S550 Multimedia Speaker | Best Buy Home Theather Review Discount Online Store Where to Buy Audio Speaker , and Review at:

or go the HTiB way now that the prices have come down like HK Cinesystem 133 at 18k( Specs at :

better than Onkyo 3300s etc though Onkyos are feature rich.) Liked Yamaha(wid Jamo 606s) too, was bright like HK systems. Though I liked HK 133 when the source was a BD/DVD at Palladium, but when FLACs/Mp3s were played from a pendrive the results were poor..
Will it work out if connected HK133 to pc with digital / RCAs?if the source files are High-res flacs/mp3s? Really confused now..:sad:
Getting 5.1/7.2 is essential for my work, otherwise at this budget,
I would have gone the stereo way with Norge Reference 2000 with
MD75 speakers, ALWAYS loved the stereo output from Tecnics and
Sonodyne..
Also, how is a new sealed Onkyo 5303 600 W with an Active sub at
31k? any ideas ? In terms of connectivity, which one will suit the
most with pc- Onkyo 3400/3300, Yamaha YHT294, HK Cinesystem 133 or any other?
Tech-Gurus, pls guide me..Edifier S550 pr KH 133 wid JBL speakers,
or any other options like Klipsch etc you have in mind that is
within 25k and available in Mumbai?
