Hello Everyone,

Interested in purchasing the JVC NZ500 MRP : 6.49 Lac

Please guide me from where should I purchase this model at best price.

Do share your experience, if you already use a JVC projector.

How’s the after sale service of JVC projectors in India ?

My second choice is the Sony VPL -XW5000ES.

Thanks in advance

Consider sony 5100 es .it's the upgraded version of 5000es with a latest XR chipset

And price also has almost doubled, price in US $9999 so close to 9 lac. The JVC 500 is definitely going to be cheaper.
Also there is no confirmation that the 5000es is discontinued so that may be still available.
Cheers,
Sid

Did demo a lot of projectors including Epson QB1000 , Benq 5800 , Benq 2720i. These Benq models have very poor native contrast. But I I actually went ahead and purchased the Epson TW9400 for better pricing and motorised controls. Among these Epson QB 1000 is the best overall , it has good brightness and dynamic tone mapping.

Tw9400 is available below 2.0lac. Better suited for my application as I would go for double screen option in future. Will DIY 2.35:1 screen along with my existing manual 16:9 Grandview screen to have both options.

@mandeep whats your screen size? Pretty much in the same situation, but on the fence regarding investing in a lamp PJ now.
But the good lasers are all above 3 lakhs atleast.
Hi

Screen size is 92 inches.
Projector at roughly 11 feet away
I was about to buy Epson 7100 but changed my mind on the spot, also Have a huge collection of 3d Blu-ray’s so I preferred the Epson 9400. 3D support missing on new laser projectors. Also it has motorised controls.

Hi Mandeep,

How is your 3d experience in 9400. Being a fan of 3D movies I am also looking for a good 3D projector and I have read that 9400 native contrast ratio is a big asset for a good 3D depth. Another option I can see is Benq W4100i as it has local dimming which helps to achieve good 3d depth. Where did you go for a demo of 9400?
You probably need to buy a spare lamp since most of the brands are slowly moving to LED or laser technology. I heard that UK is going to ban lamp manufacturing from 2026.

Hello Babu

Laser projectors are very costly as of now and have a yellow push , I don’t like it much . 3D is great on Epson 9400. Yeah I’ll buy spare lamp soon.
