Best system for rock ,jazz and hip hop music

Hi all this is my second post,
this is for my brothers car ,he is having fiesta and budget is 50,000
the kind of music we hear is rock,hiphop,jazz,,instrumental songs and heavy metal
i need a very good mp3 player ,2 fromt speakers,2 read and one sub ,amp
please tell me which one to go for
my dealer suggested me

1.player is kenwood costs around 10k
2.front component speakers from JBL 7k
3. oval rear speakers from JBL around 8 k
4. sub from JBL around 5 k
5. amp from JBL 4 channel for front and sub 7k
6.2 channel amp for 2 oval rear speakers 4
+all wiring and other stuff 5 k
so total of 50k

but i heared infinity series from JBL is good
please suggest which one to go for.I am a music freak so please suggest me which speaker brand to go for suiting my buget,
please reply within this week as we need to install by next week

I remember you were planning to get a system for about the same budget for your car as I remember. Did you get your system yet? If yes, is there any reason your brother may not like to go for the same setup?

Player - Kenwood 6539 model mp3/usb bluetooth player - 9990 rs
Front speaker - Polkaudio 6inch component DB6501 - 8750 rs
Rear speaker JBL 947 - 4990 rs

all the prices you have listed are MRP
in mumbai we get a 10% official discount on all the MRP. so i hope you are getting the same

Also im assuming you want to buy everything with bill and warranty.
if not ,please note that you can get the same products in a little more than half the cost you have quoted through the grey market

please tell me if you want in bill warranty or grey. i wll be able to advice only after that.
also please mention the model nos of JBL speakers and amps

also your polk audio component set and the kenwood mp3 player seems a bit overpriced!
you can do better easily

aslo which city are you from?i might be able to help you with installers in most large metros

so please let me know the model u suggest for me as my budgeet should not cross 55 k

i heared polk audio is better than JBL and blaupunt.Please let me know any other good modesl in by budget or not..also let me know the model numbers also so that i can buy it myself and get it fitted by specialist..
one important infor(heared from auid experts that a DVD player dosent produce good sound quality like mp3 players is it true?)

well if you buy in bill warranty thats fine

however i do advice yu to look at the option of buying the MP3 player through grey market.there is a good price diference , and also i dont know of any dealer who replaces your HU if something goes wrong even if its in warranty!

look at pioneer 6050 model.its a 6 month old model but very good and can be bought for 7500 in grey,
however the Kenwood model youve selected is also good
(do you require bluetooth and usb?) if not the kenwood
MP 6039 and even the older 6036 will also be enough

For amplifiers

For the 4 speakers
get the JBL GT5 A604 - 4 channel amp for your front and rear speakers
(make sure its a 60 rms per channel @ 4 ohms amp not a 40 rms amp)-this should not cost you more than 7200 rs with discount!
Kenwood also makes good amps e.g the kenwood 8401 and 8403 4 channel amps

For the subwoofer amp
get the JBL GT5 a301 , GT5 A3001 , CS60.2 ,
the first two are monoblocks . that are ideal for a subwoofer but might be a little expensive with bill.
i would advice you to get them to the grey market- should cost 5000rs in grey market.dont worry JBL amps in grey market are mostly safe
The third amp is a 2 channel 60 rms/channel amp which can be bridged to form 1 channel for your sub
If buying a 2 channel amp make sure its minimum 60 rms/channel @ 4 ohms and not less.
JBL 2 cahnnel amps 60rms ones go for 3500 in grey so should be 5000 with bill as you say, but do make sure they are 60 rms amps and not 40 rms amp like the GT5 A 402
Kenwood also makes such amps

For subwoofer
the tube subwoofer CS1204T is a good choice
it should not cost you more than 6000rs with bill and warranty with discount

Now for your rear speakers
get the GTO series if possible over the GT5
look for the older JBL model the GTO938 and 937. they are older but better specially the GTO938
this should not cost more than 4500 with bill and warratny
the GT5 series is cheaper

ive not heard about the 947 - dont buy it . it seems fishy!

Front speakers
Get component speakers
the polk youve selected are fine however do look at the JBL power seires at the same price!

P.S there are many other brands out there in this business however ive stuck to JBL since i dont know the availibilty in coimbatore. Also i suspect the dealers will unneccsarily fleece you if you go for other brands

I am living in trichy and i used to travel 300kms to coimbatore for certain upgradations since my hometown is not well equipped. I came across very good installers with sufficient knowledge to guide you properly. I personally suggest RM CAR DECORS in nehru staduim who has a very good setup and knowledge. Before getting your system fitted i suggest you to have a discussion with the owner of the shop. I am recomennding him because i have done a upgradation at his place once and was very satisfied.

PS2. you have said that jazz and hiphop will be mostly played in your system. I suggest you to go for a very good monoblock amp and a subwoofer providing very tight bass since hip hop music is very much bass oriented.
Polk Momo sub with sealed enclosure is very good for hip hop music. There are plenty of amps like pioneer monoblock Rs.8500 apprx in Grey, JVC digital monoblock Rs. 14000 with bill. I think polk momo and pioneer mono will be a good pair.
