That's the thing, so inter related and incestual and from the same tree. The "organ" and the repeated "Jesaas" and even otherwise I agree it's Gospel. We can ofcourse go to the chronology and say which came first. But you hear commonalities and elements and it's all a big happy family. Hallelujah.

Not blues and I"d be pushing it if I mentioned I love his version of "the drugs dont work" by the Verve. :)

Odetta Sings. You should check out her covers of Dylan too. Released in 1965 Odetta Sings Dylan was one of the earliest covers of Dylan and includes songs which Dylan himself never released. Dylan (besides Joan Baez and Janis Joplin ) himself counted Odetta as one his inspirations.
The guitar work is by Bruce Langhorne who played for Dylan in his classic Bringing It All Back Home.
