Boston Acoustics A26 - Replacement Woofer driver

One of my BA A26 woofer drivers has conked out. The local tech suggested rewinding of voice coil, but I am not too confident about it.

Can I get another driver to replace the original one? Which will be the best option in that case, to preserve the balance with the other working speaker?

Ideally the driver characteristics determine the crossover as well as cabinet geometry - therefore replacement should be identical, however, I am at loss to state categorically whether you would hear the difference or not.
