I Don't Think there is any Solid Reason for Customs Charges To be 3 times the GST for Speakers; in fact, Custom Charges for Audiophile stuff should never be more than Highest GST Slab of 28% for personal use . A simple act of justified charges will stop many people from evading the taxes. This uncertainty with insane Custom Charges Looms over every Overseas Purchase decisions, If anybody thinks that high custom Charges will aid domestic industry and production for hobby market, he's living under a rock. It aids only the corrupt bureaucrats.
