Hi Sash, yes I do agree recliners are the best for this application, but I have the need to add a bed up there for some extra guests. I have kind of finalized this sofa cum bed, it is made of fabric and looks good. I may also add 2 single seat recliners...
Apart from being used as a sofa and a bed, this has a very good effect on controlling the mid-bass too. I am using a similar one in my listening room and to my ears this was a better bass trap than even the original ASC tube traps.
Painting work has started and I am completing the setup by this week. The color I decided for the interior is a shade of red called Crimson Depth in asian paints. Here is a preview of the work so far and the color preview.

Santy - Do we have this kinda wall beds in India?
I think mostly they are custom built by a local store. Search for vendors on indiamart/ tradeindia etc. if you local furniture shop has no idea.
Actually the hinge mechanism is the main component- rest can be made as your design/ dimensions.

POP work finished, electrical work is complete, painting work should be completed by today which will in turn let the wooden flooring people to take over tomorrow. Carpentry work like fixing the doors and locks are all over. It is almost in the final stages now, if all goes well the room should be completed by this weekend.
For my 5.1 setup, there is some delay in the customs clearance from the dealers end. He says it may take another 10 days. For now I will get 2 towers from the dealer's end as a stop gap arrangement.
Tomorrow, I may be able to post some pictures...

Good to hear that you are almost nearing the completion of the HT room.

Gentleman, here is the first preview of Cinema Paradiso (TM). Wooden flooring is being done today as the paint (Asian paints, Royale) needed 3 coats to get a good finish. It took 3 days to paint and get all the borders correct.

Superb! What is that on the front wall? Is it space left blank (w/o painted) or the screen already installed?
