Thank you all for such nice tips .... I was wondering what will be the cheapest way to get the speakers from US for those who don't travel to US much... Is there any online shop in singapore to buy speakers and other Audio equipments .... From there I don't think the shipping charges would be huge ...
binay,
best thing go to singapore and shop your brand speakers and fly down, hope you need to pay some custom charges as per our HFV members said in this thread.

Yeap, I brought a pair of new axioms in my checkin suitcase and had no issues at all. Have been getting loads of electronics from US, Amps, Receiver, Radio etc...I always ensure I just carry only one with me and have never had any problems with Chennai customs for last 7 yrs.
