Hello All,

I am looking for a CD Player & Amplifier for my living room, to be paired with a good set of bookshelf speakers. (I'm thinking Tannoy mercury F1)

I came across this unit from Cambridge Audio while researching on the Internet.

It costs about 32K, and also has tuner and iPod dock included.

Please check out the link below:

One integrated CD player & DAB/FM 2.1 receiver system

Does anyone have any opinion about this unit?

Any alternatives that you would like to suggest?

Cheers and thanks in advance

Hi:

I think this is your second post on the same topic. Anyway, the CA is good, but you can also consider the DENON DM37DAB, which is fantastic too paired with a MA BR2.

If you are a true stereo lisener than go for seprate Cd player and seprate Amp. This can come to your budget but it will be secondhand.

Hi mitul_mehta,

I would not know where to start looking for a second hand set. I am in Noida.

If I were to buy new, by how much would I have to stretch my budget?

Sumain:

Yes, separates always beats hands down the micros. Ok, a typical budget setup from the CA stable IMO would be...

CA 340A
CA 340C
F1/MS 902i/Diamond 9.1

... and you won't be dissapointed.

:)

How much would the above setup cost? (Approx.)

I have a spare set of Bose 301 with stands. Can they be used with the above setup? I can then delay or avoid purchase of new speakers.

Thanks
