Hi,

I was wanting to buy the BENQ mw519 for projecting some hd videos about travel of 1 hr duration to small groups of about 50 people.

I was using an optoma HD70 so if it will even slightly surpass that in quality i will be more than happy. Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Im not bothered about lamp life and such other features. Only image clarity, good color and punchy brightness.

Thanks

Optoma has always had lower brightness even when it claims higher lumen output where as an epson or a benq would give you close to almost the same brightness as they claim... So yes the image you will get will be a bit brighter... Most ppl normally equate higher brightness to better PQ(which is actually not true) so u might actually get the feeling that you are getting better PQ... instead of the MW519 look as the epson TW480... even though the TW480 is a few thousand more,it is actually a HT projector vs the MW519 which is an office projector... So you would get better Video modes in TW480... Importing an acer 5370BD from the US is also not a bad option...

Importing is not an option, too many complexities and if it gets held by customs its a goner. The epson must be a LCD projector right ? Im particularly loking for DLP.

Another contender is the OPTOMA W2015 which is wxga but has 3200 ANSI, with 15,000:1 CR, and a sig segment RGBRGB colorwheel @2x ehich is equal to 4x due to the RGB RGB repeat refresh.

yes,i think so, you are buy it, good luck, thank you
