What is the use of this Function?????:confused::confused::confused:
Jasoosi ... it is all over the papers today:).

Some forums even have a last activity option:lol:. When I look up your profile, I will see:

soundofmusic was last confused while reading thread - Can we add "Who is watching this thread" at the bottom of each page ?

Usually we have this option where in people currently browsing the page is listed at the bottom of the same .......

Whats the use of it ..... well go figure it out by yourself ..... :)

Would rather protect members' privacy and not show user specific information. Aggregate data is okay.

You see that circle in front of your username ? It tells if a person is online or not.

I am only asking for the same thing, just in reference to any particular thread. If you think that this is breach of privacy, well....as person can choose to stay anonymous. Ain't it ?

Somehow I too feel the function is not really necessary. Or maybe I just dont see it yet!
As for seeing whether someone is online or not, people may need that for reading PMs etc.

As the title says, can we add a similar functionality ?

Your request shoudl always accompany with the value proposition (or benefit) since the change impacts all other members. Without that, you will end up with confused members and questions like how this is panning out. If its specific to only you, a PM to the moderators should do.

Mods : Pls. reply to the request or close the thread.

I wonder how many of you guys have actually been members of online communities. I, for one, have spent a big amount of my time being a part of such tech forums. Alright if you guys do not see the benefit, not a problem. Remain the way you are.

I am actually confused on why people are reluctant to this ? Its a small change and takes less than a minute for the moderator to implement.

No gains is fine, but are you guys loosing anything if that happens ? At least try and see if this is of any help.

Why dont you explain to the members why you would like it to be implemented?
As you have been member of many tech forums( where I guess this function is present) what benefit have you gained from it, which you are missing here?
As you said, it might be a small change, east to implement, but why is the question. I am yet to see the positives, pardon my ignorance.

Not really, I can't remember more than one username and password. So, I am member of only one forum - hifivision. Tell us how many you are a member of?

When others are watching me read/post on a thread I feel shy and start blushing.... Sometimes I feel conscious and make lot of spelling mistakes making the post unreadable. So, I don't want this feature please:sad:.

Now, can you tell us why you want this feature?
