Can't Apple TV 4k play Amazon Prime content in 5.1 ?!!

I keep reading that Apple TV 4k cant play Amazon Prime content in 5.1 and that it switches to stereo mode. That would be a major bummer especially considering its steep price. Can anyone confirm?

That’s incorrect.
ATV 4K supports ATMOS for Prime and certainly 5.1 too

I can confirm that ATV 4K does indeed play Amazon Prime content in 5.1.

Interesting. The internet is full of such reports. Saying Prime is not the same with ATV 4k.

The older versions might not have but the newer versions with updated ios certiwnly do. Ps... the internet has older articles floating around.
